The aim of this study is to explore the relationship between the medical education environment and the academic performance of medical students. By further analyzing the roles of mental health and learning engagement in the medical education environment and academic performance, the mechanism by which the medical education environment affects academic performance is clarified. SPSS and its macro program PROCESS were used to analyze and process the data, and the following results were obtained: (1) The medical education environment affects the academic performance of medical students. The better the educational environment, the better the academic performance of medical students. (2) Mental health has a mediating effect between the medical education environment and academic performance; learning engagement has a mediating effect between the medical education environment and academic performance. (3) The medical education environment affects the academic performance of medical students through the chain mediating effect of mental health and learning engagement.
