THE INFLUENCE OF WORK ENVIRONMENT AND TEACHER LOCUS OF CONTROL ON THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION IN LOKHSUMAWE

The decline in the quality of education is largely due to internal factors within the institution. Therefore, it is important to examine whether the work environment and locus of control have an influence on educational performance. The data collection approach used in this study is a quantitative data approach. The research population is all teachers at senior high schools in Lhoksumawe City. This study uses the SEM-Partial Least Square (PLS) sample collection technique with a minimum requirement of 150 respondents. The results of the study indicate that there is an influence of the work environment and locus of control on the quality of education. There is also an influence of the work environment and locus of control on teacher performance. Furthermore, there is an influence of teacher performance on the quality of education. The indirect influence of the work environment and locus of control on the quality of education through teacher performance is not found.
