Exploring the Reform of Course Evaluation System for English Majors in Colleges and Universities in the Internet Era

Abstract

Under the situation that China's higher education has entered the connotative development centered on the quality of talent cultivation, it is of great significance to construct a scientific and reasonable evaluation index system for courses. Under the guidance of the theory of CIPP evaluation model and the principle of indicator construction, this paper proposes the evaluation system of English major courses in colleges and universities, and revises the indicator system according to the experts' opinions. The comprehensive weight value of each index in the evaluation system is obtained by combining the results of the topological hierarchical analysis method and the DEMATEL method, and then the cloud evaluation model is used to realize the intelligent evaluation and analysis of English major courses in colleges and universities. The results show that C31 “rich teaching methods” is the most important factor affecting the evaluation of English courses in colleges and universities, and the comprehensive weight value is 0.089. After the empirical application, it is found that this intelligent evaluation system can effectively evaluate the construction level of English courses in colleges and universities, and realize the optimization reform and application of the evaluation system of English courses in colleges and universities.
