Abstract

Depression has been classified as a psychological disorder which is capable of affecting patients both mentally and physically with unique presentation across patients. This unique presentation makes it difficult to predict the onset or the risk of onset of the disease. This paper presents the use of a fuzzy logic based interface system, which takes into account four primary predictors and then determines the risk of the onset of depression in three age groups. The approach shows promising results with high accuracy.
