Construction of a Population Adaptability-Oriented Chinese Culture Teaching Model for Thai Junior High Schools

Abstract

Chinese culture teaching is an important component of foreign Chinese language teaching. Understanding the essence of Chinese culture helps students improve their Chinese language proficiency. This paper takes 122 junior high school students in Thailand as the research subjects, based on theories such as PBL teaching and constructivism, and combined with the characteristics of cultural teaching, constructs a Chinese culture teaching model for Thai junior high school students based on the PBL teaching method. The research shows that there are significant differences in students' Chinese culture course scores before and after the experiment, indicating that the PBL teaching method has a significant improvement effect on Chinese culture courses. In terms of population adaptability, the PBL teaching model has a better improvement effect on boys than girls, effectively narrowing the performance gap between genders; in terms of age, the intervention effect of the PBL teaching method on Chinese culture teaching for Thai junior high school students is 9th grade (T = 3.775) > 8th grade (T = 3.283) > 7th grade (T = 1.856), that is, the higher the learning accumulation, the better the adaptability to the high-level tasks of PBL teaching, and the better the teaching effect.
