Information Technology (IT) has become an essential component of contemporary workplaces, influencing how employees communicate, collaborate, access information, and accomplish organizational tasks. The widespread adoption of digital platforms, cloud-based applications, artificial intelligence, automation, enterprise information systems, and remote-working technologies has created new opportunities for improving organizational productivity and employee performance. At the same time, continuous digital connectivity, information overload, technological complexity, and pressure to remain constantly available can negatively influence employee well-being. This article examines the relationship between Information Technology, employee well-being, and organizational productivity. It discusses the positive contribution of technology through improved communication, flexibility, access to information, task automation, knowledge sharing, and operational efficiency. It also considers potential adverse effects, including technostress, digital fatigue, work-life boundary disruption, reduced interpersonal interaction, and technology-related anxiety. The article argues that the organizational impact of IT depends not merely on the availability of technological infrastructure but also on how technology is implemented, managed, and experienced by employees. Organizations can maximize the benefits of IT by providing appropriate training, encouraging healthy digital practices, designing supportive work environments, protecting employee autonomy, and establishing clear technology-use policies. A balanced approach that integrates technological advancement with human-centered management can contribute simultaneously to employee well-being and sustainable organizational productivity.
