Abstract

 In e-commerce, artificial intelligence (AI) has evolved from a back-office analytics tool to the main driver of fraud detection, product discovery, personalization, and increasingly independent purchasing. While AI-powered recommendation engines, conversational agents, and dynamic pricing systems have significantly increased customer engagement and conversion, their implementation has raised worries about platform security, consumer trust, and data privacy. This study looks at these important issues and evaluates how they affect businesses and consumers. It also examines upcoming prospects and new developments in AI-powered e-commerce platforms, emphasizing advancements like automated customer support, sophisticated data analytics, and AI-driven recommendation systems. The goal of this study is to present a thorough analysis of the current situation and offer recommendations for ethical and long-term AI adoption in e-commerce.
