Abstract

The digital transformation of democratic processes presents unprecedented opportunities for understanding and enhancing citizen participation in elections (Bimber et al., 2012). This study addresses the critical intersection of artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and digital democracy through the development of CHUNAV (Citizen's Help Using Navigational AI for Voting)—an AI-driven platform designed for electoral behaviour mapping and intelligent voter assistance in Uttar Pradesh, India's most populous state comprising 403 assembly constituencies and approximately 204 million citizens (Election Commission of India, 2022).
