The fast rate of development of digital technology and the increase in the practice of remote working in India have changed the traditional work environments. Although the change is accompanied by flexibility and connectivity, they have also led to higher rates of stress, sleep loss, and work-life imbalance. Employees are frequently under pressure to be available outside official working hours, resulting in mental fatigue, decreased productivity, and declining well-being. This research delves into the attitudes of employees towards these challenges, its effects on job satisfaction, mental well-being, and work efficiency. By reviewing global best practices and through employee feedback, this study aims to quantify the significance of implementing a Right to Disconnect policy in India. This policy would establish a neat separation between work and personal lives, prioritizing employees' welfare without an impact on organizational productivity. The study recommends a disciplined model of implementation of the Right to Disconnect, merging corporate discretion and workers' rights for a healthier, more sustainable working culture in India.
