Abstract

Digital transformation is becoming increasingly important for improving supply chain efficiency, visibility, responsiveness and resilience. Emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, cloud computing, big data analytics and robotic process automation are changing traditional supply chain practices. This study examines the relationship between digital transformation, emerging technology adoption and supply chain performance. Primary data were collected from 257 respondents working in supply chain, logistics, procurement, operations and related areas. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was used to test the reliability and validity of the research constructs, while Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was used to examine the relationships among the variables. The study finds that digital transformation positively influences the adoption of emerging technologies and supply chain performance. Emerging technologies also contribute positively to supply chain performance. The study concludes that organizations can improve their supply chain performance by effectively adopting digital technologies, developing employee skills, using data for decision-making and integrating digital systems with supply chain activities.
