Abstract

The efficiency, output, and viability of private universities are greatly affected by the performance of their employees. A growing body of research has focused on the relationship between working conditions and organizational performance in recent years. This research looks at the factors that affect private university employees' productivity, focusing on the influence that their physical and psychological work environments play. Productivity and organizational effectiveness are the foci of this research on the roles played by workplace safety, facilities, interpersonal relationships, collaboration, communication, and psychological support. Primarily, 164 respondents from private universities filled out a standardized questionnaire as part of the study's quantitative research strategy. The results show that the physical and psychological aspects of the workplace have a substantial impact on worker productivity. Teamwork, management support, motivation, and effective conflict resolution were identified as psychosocial factors that significantly predicted employee productivity and job satisfaction among the variables. The study goes on to say that when employees feel valued and appreciated at work, it boosts their dedication, productivity, and the overall efficacy of the institution. Findings from this study add to what is already known about the significance of working conditions in academic institutions. In order to boost employee performance and organizational sustainability, the study suggests that private colleges prioritize workplace infrastructure improvements, healthy interpersonal connection promotion, and the creation of psychologically supportive environments.
