Microservices-based Architecture to Improve the Enrollment Process of State Schools
Abstract
This research proposes a microservices-based architecture to improve the enrollment process of state schools in times of pandemic. Microservices allow an application to support higher request concurrency and fault tolerance in a scenario where many users require to perform a web-based enrollment process. The development process and the tools used for the proposed architecture are also detailed. Through 4 types of performance tests, it is demonstrated that the architecture achieved an average efficiency of 177% compared to a traditional monolithic architecture. Therefore, the study concludes that the implementation of a microservices architecture for the enrollment process of state schools is reliable, efficient and functional.
