The supply chain is a process that manages the ffow of goods, information, and funds from production to consumption. It aims to reduce costs, improve efffciency, and meet customer needs. Technologies and sustainability are key factors in modern supply chain management. The primary objective of this paper is to provide a comprehensive review of current literature that use optimization-based simulation techniques to address the speciffc challenges inherent in these supply chains. However, the second objective is to present an overview of path planning algorithms. This paper offers insights into recent advancements and emerging trends in the ffeld by examining modeling methods, decision support systems, and innovative approaches. Tailored for researchers and practitioners, this synthesis aims to enhance understanding of current developments and guide future research in optimizing supply chains through simulation. In this paper, we present the utility of using planning algorithms in the supply chain to increase the performance in terms of exportation transports.
